LITHOPON
Lithopone is a pigment composed of a mixture of barium sulfate (BaSO4) and zinc sulfide (ZnS). It was historically used as a white pigment due to its good hiding power and brightness. While it has been largely replaced by titanium dioxide in many applications due to titanium dioxide’s superior whiteness and covering power, lithopone still finds use in various industries because of its cost-effectiveness and specific properties.

Lithopone uses
- Paints and Coatings

- Base for Colored Paints: Due to its neutral color, lithopone serves as an excellent base for creating light and pastel shades when mixed with colored pigments.
- Plastics Industry
